Day 44: NFL Picks

I'm sorry to disappoint all of our devoted followers, but today Ben and I will only be doing the NFL picks. My dad is coming out to Arizona to visit me this weekend and that's all I have time for today. Look for a full blog on Monday.

NFL PICK 'EM

Last week          Ben: 4-3              Boz: 3-4
Season               Ben: 23-21          Boz: 24-20

1) Miami (3-4) at New England (5-2)

Ben: MIAMI. I like what Chad Henne offers that offense, and I think the defense is going to get after Tom Brady this week. And, I don't like the Pats.

Boz: NEW ENGLAND. The Patriots, and Tom Brady, are back to old form and have returned to the top of the AFC. If this game was in South Beach then I would give the Dolphins a fighting chance. But its not so the Pats win.

2) Houston (5-3) at Indianapolis (7-0)

Ben: INDIANAPOLIS. One word: Manning. I don't pick against Manning's.

Boz: INDIANAPOLIS. A lot of professional football analysts are picking the Texans. Not me. The Texans are good but the Colts are real good and playing in the Oil Drum. What can I say, I love home teams in the NFL.

3) Arizona (4-3) at Chicago (4-3)

Ben: ARIZONA. I'm taking the offense of the Cardinals to beat the defense of the Bears. I think the Bears offense has been to up and down lately, and that offensive line doesn't provide much protection for Cutler.

Boz: CHICAGO. Matt Forte looks as if he is turning his season around which is a good sign for the Bears since they need the running game. The Bears win this battle of quarterbacks in a close one.

4) Baltimore (4-3) at Cincinnati (5-2)

Ben: CINCINNATI. It's at home, and the Bengals have been great this year, on both sides of the ball. I like the Ravens, but I think Cincy is a better all-around team this year.

Boz: BALTIMORE. The defense came back to life to the Ravens against the Broncos and their offense has been steady all year. I have to think that Ray Lewis, Ed Reed, Terrell Suggs and company are out looking for revenge.

5) Detroit (1-6) at Seattle (2-5)

Ben: DETROIT. Boz's ploy is working, six of my losses have come thanks to Detroit. Being a fan sucks.

Boz: SEATTLE. I keep putting the Lions' games on here so that I can always pick up a game on Ben knowing that he'll pick Detroit.

6) Dallas (5-2) at Philadelphia (5-2)

Ben: PHILADELPHIA. Roy Williams has messed with the chemistry of that offense and just when I thought they were about to turn a corner, they've hit a speed bump.

Boz: PHILADELPHIA. I still think that the Cowboys aren't that good and have been beating up on bad teams (minus the Falcons). The big play offense from the Eagles will really pull away from the Cowboys.

7) Pittsburgh (5-2) at Denver (6-1)

Ben: PITTSBURGH. Not sold on Denver, but we'll see if their miracle ride continues. I like the Steelers D and don't think Orton can keep this pace up.

Boz: PITTSBURGH. The Broncos are going to fade in the second half of the season and this week starts the second half of the season. The Steelers have been playing tough since losing two straight.
